Abstract (en)
The cooking device uses an IR sensor (1) projecting slightly above the surface (14) of the ceramic cooking hob, incorporated in a functional unit with a condensate trap which provides protection against a condensed water film. The condensate trap may be provided by a rough interior surface (20) of the plastics housing of the sensor, which may be treated with a hygroscopic chemical, or used in combination with a hygroscopic capsule.
