A plasma arc cutting torch, comprising a sleeve (4) which is coaxial to a negative electrode (2) from which the arc starts, and defines, together with the electrode, a tubular chamber (5) through which a gas whose plasma is to be obtained is conveyed, a tube (19) being arranged coaxially around the sleeve (4) and forming a tubular interspace (20) through which air is conveyed to cool the sleeve. <IMAGE>
