[origin: WO9708723A1] A high voltage hybrid circuit-breaker has an arc circuit with a gas circuit-breaker (30) connected in series with a vacuum bulb (54). The housing is subdivided into a first compartment (12) enclosed by an insulator (46) for housing the primary contacts (24, 26, 28) of the primary circuit (18) and of the gas circuit-breaker (30), and a second adjacent compartment (14) containing the vacuum bulb (54), defined by a conductive metallic shell (48). The movable arcing contact (34) of the gas circuit-breaker (30) is actuated with the movable primary contact (24) by a primary control rod (84) connected to a common mechanism, wherein the displacement of the movable arcing contact (62) of the vacuum bulb (54) is derived from the translational movement of the primary rod (84) through an intermediate transmission lever (72) received in the second compartment (14).
