Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0847781A2] The ski binding has a simple transverse shaft (4) which can move axially to either side, supported in bearings (6). The ends of the shaft have cams with crank mountings for the ends (9) release arm. The shaft is prevented from rotating by a central cam (12). When a lateral force is applied the shaft is moved laterally until the central cam can drop into one of two slots (14,15) and free the rotating action.
