Abstract (en)
An automatic roll changer for connecting the end of an exhausted film roll with a new full roll on film processing machines, especially forming, filling and closing machines comprises a film unwinding support(1) moving along the side of the machine and carrying two or more film rolls(2) on adjacent, separate axles and also a swivelling clamp(3) for each roll position which grips the start of each new film roll and swivels to a film cutting and connecting mechanism(4) where the ends of the old roll and new roll are joined together. Also claimed is an automatic method for changing film rolls in which: a) the film processing machine is stopped; b) a new film roll is automatically positioned opposite the end of the exhausted film; c) the start of the new film roll is clamped in the swivelling clamp; d) the clamp swivels to a position where both film ends overlap and are joined to each other; e) the machine is restarted and the film area with the weld line is excluded from the filling process.

Automatischer Rollenwechsler zum Abwickeln und Zuführen von Folienrollen zu Folienverarbeitungsmaschinen, insbesondere zu Form-, Füll-, Schließmaschinen (FFS-Maschinen), der aus einem seitlich verfahrbaren Abwickelbock (1) besteht, der mit 2 oder mehr Folienrollen bestückt werden kann, sowie aus je einer schwenkbaren Klemmvorrichtung (3) für jede Rollenposition, mit der der Folienanfang der jeweiligen Rolle geklemmt und durch Abschwenken in einer nachgeschalteten Schneid- und Folienverbindungsvorrichtung (4) mit dem Ende der alten Folienbahn verbunden wird, sowie ein Verfahren zum automatischen Wechseln bzw. Vorlegen von Folienrollen zu Folienverarbeitungsmaschinen, insbesondere FFS-Maschinen, bei dem das Folienende der alten Folienrolle automatisch mit dem Anfang einer neuen Folienrolle (2) überlappt und verbunden wird. <IMAGE>
