Abstract (en)
The applicator assembly to apply a coating to a moving web of paper or cardboard, as a fluid or paste medium, has an angled flow guide surface (10) at the end of the leading (4) or tailing (8) lips towards the moving surface (26). It guides the medium delivered in a stream from the free flow jet. Preferably the flow guide surface (10) is an angled guide component (40), fitted to one of the lips (4, 8). The guide surface (10) has two legs (a, b). The first leg (a) starts at the height of the lip against it, and the second leg (b) is pitched at an angle ( alpha ) of 10-70 degrees from the first leg (a), and preferably 30-60 degrees . The flow guide surface (10) has sharp edges, or is angled with a small radius of up to 9 mm and preferably 0.5-3.0 mm.

Bei einem Auftragswerk zum direkten oder indirekten Auftragen eines flüssigen oder pastösen Medium (12) auf eine laufende Oberfläche (26) mit einem als Freistrahldüse ausgebildeten Dosierspalt, der zwischen einer zulaufseitigen (4) und einer ablaufseitigen Lippe (8) gebildet ist, weist die zulaufseitige Lippe (4) oder die ablaufseitige Lippe (8) an ihrem zur laufenden Oberfläche (26) gerichteten Ende eine abgewinkelte Strömungsleitfläche (10) auf. <IMAGE>
