Abstract (en)

The unit consists of at least two panes of glass (1,2) with a spacer frame (3) between their edges. The spacer frame is hollow and made from a metal with a low thermal conductivity, e.g. stainless steel, with holes (5) round its inner surface, and is filled with a moisture-absorbing (7) material. Primary seals (8), e.g. of a butyl material, are fitted between the spacer frame and the glass panes. The inner faces of the glass panels have bevelled edges (10), and the opposite surfaces (12) of the spacer frame side walls slope inwards at a similar angle, forming triangular-section channels which are filled with an adhesive sealing material (9).

Un vitrage isolant à isolation thermique accrue dans les zones marginales du vitrage comporte deux feuilles de verre (1, 2) et un cadre d'espacement métallique (3) composé d'un profilé creux dont la section transversale va en se rétrécissant vers la périphérie du vitrage. Les feuilles de verre (1, 2) sont chanfreinées au niveau de leurs bords sur les surfaces marginales (10) opposées aux surfaces inclinées (12) du cadre d'espacement (3). Les gorges formées par les surfaces inclinées (12) du profilé creux (3) et les surfaces chanfreinées (10) des feuilles de verre (1, 2) sont remplies d'une matière d'étanchéité adhésive (9). <IMAGE>
