Abstract (en)
The starting device uses an electric starter motor (12) which is coupled to the vehicle battery via a starter relay (14). The starter motor and/or the starter relay is controlled via an electronic control device (18), coupled to the starter motor and/or relay end stage (20,22). When the engine is operated in start-stop mode the starter relay is controlled so that it is energised when the engine is stopped. The motor is controlled to provide a smooth run-up characteristic with increasing revs and limitation of the short-circuit current.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Startvorrichtung zum Starten einer Brennkraftmaschine, insbesondere eines Kraftfahrzeuges, mit einem über ein Starterrelais (Einrückrelais) mit einer Spannungsquelle verbindbaren und der Brennkraftmaschine zum Andrehen in Eingriff bringbaren Startermotor. Es ist vorgesehen, daß eine Ansteuerung des Starterrelais (14) und/oder des Startermotors (12) über ein elektronisches Steuergerät (18) erfolgt, das dem Starterrelais (14) und/oder dem Startermotor (12) zugeordnete Halbleiter-Leistungsendstufen (20, 22) derart ansteuert, daß zumindestens in einem Start-Stop-Betrieb der Brennkraftmaschine, das Starterrelais (14) im Stop-Zustand der Brennkraftmaschine seine Einspurstellung aufweist. <IMAGE>
