Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0848362A2] The access to a system, eg cash machine or telephone is made using a spoken entry of the personal identification number, PIN, of the user. This is interpreted by a speech recognition processor Ä2Ü and the output compared Ä3Ü with the stored Ä4Ü PIN number. The comparator is linked to a pseudo random signal generator providing protection against manipulation by overhearing the entry.
