[origin: EP0848450A1] The cable connection has upper (6a) and lower (6) gripping jaws with teeth (8) which penetrate the outer cable sheath (1) and connect with the central wiring(4). The teeth and jaw section are made up by bending and cutting sheet metal. The upper and lower jaws are connected by a metallic band (16). The jaw sections are held in place by an isolating cover unit (12) and the two sections have a screw thread connection (15).
