[origin: EP0848459A2] The connector comprises an element that is crimped onto the end of the wire (2). The circuit board has slots (3) at its edges which form tongues (4). The sides (3.1,3.2) of the slots are partially metal coated and each metal coated part leads to a conductive path (1.1,1.2) or conductive line. The connector comprises a metal coated outer sleeve (7) which is connected to the outer- or earth-wire (5) and an inner conductive sleeve (8) which is connected to the inner- or signal-carrying wire. When plugged in, the outer sleeve contacts the outer metal coated sides (3.2) of the two outer slots and the inner sleeve contacts the metal coated sides of the central slot or tongue.
