SOLUTION: The device is provided with a supporting frame, the passenger carrier 8 vertically driven between an upper tip position II and a lower tip position I along this, a rope pulley block 12 whose one tip 12a is fixed to this and which is made to make a U-turn by a first pulley 14 supported by the frame 6 and suspends the carrier 8 to the first pulley 14, driving devices 24 and 16 driving the device 12 for lifting the carrier 8 from the position I to the position II. Die Erfindung betrifft ein Fahrgeschäft mit einem Gestell (6), mindestens einem entlang des Gestells (6) zwischen einer oberen II und einer unteren Endlage I höhenveränderlich geführten Fahrgastträger (8), einem Seil- oder Kettenzug (12), an dessen erstem Ende (12a) der Fahrgastträger (8) befestigt ist und das um eine am Gestell (6) gelagerte erste Rolle (14) umgelenkt ist, so daß der Fahrgastträger (8) mit Hilfe des Seils (12) oder der Kette an der ersten Rolle (14) hängt, und einer den Seil- oder Kettenzug (12) antreibenden Antriebseinrichtung (24, 26, 36, 44) zum Anheben des Fahrgastträgers (8) von dessen unterer (I) in dessen obere Endlage (II). Das Besondere der Erfindung besteht darin, daß mindestens eine zweite Rolle (16) vorgesehen ist, die im wesentlichen quer zu ihrer Drehachse von der Antriebseinrichtung (24, 26, 36, 44) beweg- und antreibbar ist, wobei das Seil (12) oder die Kette von der ersten Rolle (14) zur zweiten Rolle (16) läuft, dort umgelenkt wird und mit dem zweiten Ende (12b) an einem Befestigungspunkt (18) am Gestell (6) befestigt ist. <IMAGE>
