[origin: EP0848998A2] A thermal spraying gun comprises a unit which has a flame produced from a liquid or gaseous fuel and an oxidation gas in a combustion chamber, and is accelerated in a constriction tube. The unit has a water-cooled burner incorporating at least three parts, with a combustion chamber (26), a constriction tube (34) and a flame constriction channel (32). The constriction tube is exchangeable, and has at least one sealing unit (40) which can be pressurised via a force accumulator unit (42). Also claimed is a corresponding method, where the flame is produced from a liquid or gaseous fuel in the form of an aliphatic compound such as butane or ethyl alcohol.
