Abstract (en)

The press line for vehicle body sections moves the press sections between the different press operations using lateral inching drives. Each drive is fitted with a monitor (M) to check the movement of the drive. If any individual drive fails it is immobilised in the retracted position and the action of the remaining drives is enhanced to cover the defective drive. The press items are moved through the press line without jamming the line and without damage to the items. The control unit (36) and the inching drives are capable of moving the press line with any one drive immobilised. The inching drives have linear electric motors which directly power the transfer rails without any intermediate drive components.

Eine Steuerung 36 für elektrische Direktantriebe 28, 29 einer Transfervorrichtung 15 enthält wenigstens eine Monitoreinrichtung M, die bei Fehlfunktion eines Direktantriebes 28, 29 die Steuereinrichtung 36 in eine Notbetriebsart umschaltet. In der Notbetriebsart schaltet die Steuereinrichtung 36 den von dem Fehler betroffenen Linearantrieb kraftlos und steuert die verbleibenden Direktantriebe vorzugsweise mit voller oder leicht überhöhter Leistung so an, daß Kollisionsfreiheit zwischen dem Umformwerkzeug und der Transfervorrichtung 15 hergestellt wird, wonach die Presse vorzugsweise stillgesetzt wird. <IMAGE>
