[origin: EP0849044A1] The method involves clamping the cutting tool bit (12) onto a rotating mount (16) inside a treatment chamber, where high pressure jets of liquid remove the burrs. The liquid, which can be water, oil etc. has an abrasive additive to enhance the removal of the burrs, without damaging the cutting edges. The high pressure jets are positioned in a ring around the inside of the circular treatment chamber. They are set at different heights to cover a length on the cutting tool. The tool and the jets have a relative rotational sped of up to 10 Hz.
