The cover is particularly for a rubber-blanket or plate-cylinder, being elastic and extending for the length of the channel (3) and clamped against the latter's sidewalls. It is of cylindrical cross-section. One or more plugs (11) are inserted in its end, affecting its diameter and/or elasticity. It can be a hollow cylindrical hose or tube, and in the undistorted state its mean external diameter can be between three and six times its mean wall thickness. The plug can be cylindrical and glued inside the cylinder, being solid and less elastic than the latter. The cover can alternatively be formed by a solid elastic profiled bar.

Die erfindung betrifft eine Kanalabdeckung zur Verhinderung des Ein- und/oder Austretens von Fremdstoffen in einen Zylinderkanal eines Druckzylinders, insbesondere eines Gummituch- oder Plattenzylinders, für eine Offsetdruckmaschine. Die Kanalabdeckung ist elastisch nachgiebig und erstreckt sich über die Länge des Zylinderkanals 3. Sie wird durch Andruck an Seitenwänden des Zylinderkanals 3 klemmend darin gehalten. Die Kanalabdeckung wird durch ein zylinderförmiges Profil 10 aus einem elastisch nachgiebigen Material und aus mindestens einem am zylinderförmigen Profil 10 im Bereich einer Stirnseite angebrachten Endstück 11 gebildet. <IMAGE>
