[origin: DE19652521C1] The cover is particularly for a rubber-blanket or plate-cylinder, being elastic and extending for the length of the channel (3) and clamped against the latter's sidewalls. It is of cylindrical cross-section. One or more plugs (11) are inserted in its end, affecting its diameter and/or elasticity. It can be a hollow cylindrical hose or tube, and in the undistorted state its mean external diameter can be between three and six times its mean wall thickness. The plug can be cylindrical and glued inside the cylinder, being solid and less elastic than the latter. The cover can alternatively be formed by a solid elastic profiled bar.
