Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0849117A2] The fitting comprises two contact strips (5,6) which hold a festoon bulb (2) between them fitted to a mounting plate (1). The fitting is clipped into the mounting recess via two sprung grip strips (7) straddling the contact strips and with the free ends curved (9) to provide a plug-in fitting. The contact strips have a U-cross section with holes to locate the contact ends of the bulb. This enables the bulb to be fitted and removed in one simple action.
