[origin: WO9821069A1] This invention concerns an electrical connector for producing a connection with at least one conductor essentially positioned in a flexible foil with a dielectric housing with a receptacle for inserting the flexible foil and the at least one conductor which permits cost savings, yet improves quality. To that effect, at least one contact pin for producing an electrical contact to the at least one conductor is provided. The contact pin exerts a force on the electrical conductor and/or the flexible foil which provides both a mechanical contact of the conductor with the pin and an electrical contact.
