Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0849350A1] The transformation of gasoline feed to produce a dearomatised and a desulfurated fuel with high cetane index is claimed. It consists of: (a) desulfuration and denitrogenation step where the gasoline charge and hydrogen are passed onto a catalyst containing a mineral support, a metal or a metallic compound from group VIB at 0.5-40 wt.% w.r.t. the catalyst a metal or a metallic compound from group VIII at 0.1-30 wt.% w.r.t. the catalyst phosphorous or a phosphorous compound at 0.01-20% expressed in weight of P2O5 w.r.t. the support (b) dearomatisation step, where part of the product resulting from step (a) is passed onto a mineral support containing a precious or a compound of a precious metal from group VIII at 0.01-20% expressed in weight of metal w.r.t. weight of catalyst.
