Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0849367A1] The apparatus used for hardening metal materials has a roller furnace to austenise the material, followed by a hardening press to act on it while still hot. The press (13) has a number of paired press plates, working together at the end of the furnace and near the roller path (10). The holders (12, 16) for the lateral clamping of the material (20) between the plates (13) are inserted between the plates in the hardening setting.
