[origin: EP0849396A1] The applicator for applying a coating to a moving web of paper or cardboard directly or indirectly, using a paste or liquid coating medium (2), has a transfer blade (14) for the coating medium at the incoming lip (6) at the outlet of the dosing jet gap (4).
