Abstract (en)
The implement comprises a support (1) with two or more pulleys or rollers (4) which are situated slightly above the surface of the rail and have an endless abrasive finishing belt (5) passing round them. The belt is driven by an additional pulley or roller (8) connected to a drive motor, and the implement incorporates a thrust foot inside the lower horizontal section of the band to press it against the rail as it is being rotated. The force applied by the thrust foot is designed to ensure a constant belt pressure against the rail with no vibration, while the tension of the belt is provided by two rollers (9) on pivoted arms (10) actuated by power cylinders (11). The thrust foot, made from a special material which is resistant to heat and friction, can also be connected to a coolant circuit.

Le dispositif pour la finition du reprofilage en voie et en continu de la surface du champignon d'au moins un rail d'une voie ferrée comporte au moins une unité de finition par file de rails. Chacune de ces unités de finition comporte une poutre (1) sur laquelle sont montés de façon rotative au moins deux poulies ou galets (4,8) situés légèrement en dessus du rail (3), autour desquels est disposée une bande abrasive sans fin (5) travaillant dans le sens longitudinal du rail. Entre deux de ces poulies ou galets (4) se trouve un patin d'appui (12) soumis à l'action d'un vérin (14) prenant appui sur ladite poutre (1) et agissant sur le patin (12) avec une force déterminée pour appliquer la bande abrasive (5) contre la surface de roulement du rail (3) sans aucune vibration. Au moins une des poulies (4) est entraînée en rotation par un moteur pour mettre la bande abrasive (5) en mouvement. <IMAGE>
