Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0849411A1] The panel consisting of a backing panel (1), preferably comprising a perforated metal plate, covered on at least one side by a tightly bonded microporous layer of spherical grains (2), coated on all sides with an adhesive, bonding at least at points together and to the backing plate. The diameter of the grains is between 0.1 and 0.9 times the diameter of the perforations in the backing plate. Preferably the grains have a diameter of 0.5 to 1 mm and the perforations are 1.5 mm in diameter. Grains are preferably glass spheres and the adhesive is formed by water glass, applied in powder form and activated by water.
