[origin: EP0849430A2] The screw (5) passes through a hole (4) in a glass panel (2) to fasten it in place and has a screw head (6) in the form of a tapered nut locating in the hole and an adjusting nut (10) which can be screwed into an internal thread (9) of the tapered nut. The shank (7) of the screw is separate from the head and is received in a cup-shaped recess (8) of the head. It has a retaining flange (11) located between the adjusting nut and the base (14) of the recess. Locking members in the form of pegs (16) and grooves (15) fit together with clearances to form a connection which prevents rotation. The clearance between the pegs and grooves gives four degrees of freedom for adjustment. The outside diameter of the flange is smaller than the outside diameter of the adjusting nut.
