Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0849763A2] The overcurrent release device uses a thermal release provided by a thermobimetallic strip, or a memory material strip, cooperating with a switch release lever. An adjustment mechanism for the strip is secured to a carrier (24) at one end. The switch release lever is supported by an intermediate lever which is pivoted to the carrier, with a spring arm (30) enclosing the edge of the carrier having a nose which locates in one of a number of notches along this edge for positioning the rotation axis (27) of the release lever relative to the strip.
