[origin: DE19534180A1] The invention relates to a device for the grinding of drafting rolls (7) with an emerizing roll (2), at which a drafting roll (7) can be advanced to the emerizing roll casing on one side thereof by an automatically driven carriage (6) holding the drafting roll, the carriage (6) being mounted on a first guiding element (5), and a second guiding element (8) being secured to the emerizing roll (2) on the side opposite the first guiding element (5). This second guiding element (8) supports a hand-driven second carriage (9), and the direction of rotation of the emerizing roll is reversible.
