[origin: WO9710172A1] The invention relates to a process and a device for separating hydrogen from a gas mixture containing hydrogen, oxygen and a residue from an electric machine (1). First of all the oxygen is bonded to the hydrogen to form water and the water is separated, then the hydrogen is separated by bonding it in a solid body reactor (11). The device for implementing the process comprises a reactor (6) for bonding the oxygen to the hydrogen, a water separator (7, 8, 9) to separate the water and a solid body reactor (11). The process and device are especially suitablefor treating a gas mixture from a hydrogen-cooled turbo-generator.
