[origin: WO9709478A1] The invention concerns a mechanical loom comprising a machine (1), a change-over arrangement (2), a support arrangement (3) and an arrangement (6) for delivering warp threads. The change-over arrangement comprises a loom back rest, a warp-monitoring unit (38), a heald-frame holding arrangement and a reed and is coupled to the machine (1) or the support arrangement (3) such that the change-over arrangement with the heald-frames, reed and a drawn-in article can be replaced as a storage unit. The connection between the change-over arrangement (2) and the arrangement (6) for delivering warp threads to a change-over unit (31) constitutes a further article-changing system. Owing to these different change-over systems, the change-over of articles is substantially simpler and less time-consuming.
