[origin: EP0850705A1] The machine has a table with workpiece holders, and a moveable operator device with straightening die. The operator device is formed as a bridge (17), which holds the die (28) in vertical alignment of the workpiece (7). The bridge is moved in a vertical plane by a drive (15). The bridge has sides (19) positioned beside the machine table (3), and a rail (18). This connects the sides, is located above the machine table, and carries the die. The bridge is held in a machine-fastened component (2), esp. a base plate accommodating the machine table, and is moveable relative to it.
