Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0850851A1] The valve comprises a body (2) with a lengthwise axis (A) and an inner chamber (4) in communication with the product held under pressure in a container, and made with an inlet (5) and outlet (10). It has a control stem (3) with a dispensing channel (12) passing through it and open at both ends (13a,13b). The control stem, made e.g. from polypropylene, has a truncated conical projection (3c) on its lower end which forms a seal inside the valve chamber (4), which its upper end is shaped so it can pivot relative to the valve body to release the seal and allow the product to pass through radial inlets (3a) into the stem and out through its outlet (3b). The pivot can be in the form of a round bulge (8) on the stem which interacts with a recess in the body, or a recess in the stem interacting with a bulge on the body.
