Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorspinnmaschine mit einer Antriebseinheit (9), wobei die Flügel (3) der Vorspinnmaschine Pressfinger aufweisen, die sich durch Zentrifugalwirkung an Einfangbereiche (5a) der Hülsen (5) anlegen, und mit einer Auswerte- und Steuereinheit (7) zur Steuerung der Antriebseinheit (9), wobei die Auswerte- und Steuereinheit (7) selbsttätig oder auf Anforderung die Antriebseinheit (9) so ansteuert, dass die Flügel (3) mit einer ersten Tipp-Drehzahl rotieren, die kleiner ist als die zum selbsttätigen Einfangen der Lunte durch eine oder mehrere Hülsen (5) erforderliche Drehzahl, und wobei die Auswerte- und Steuereinheit (7) selbsttätig oder auf Anforderung die Antriebseinheit (9) zum selbsttätigen Einfangen der Lunte durch eine oder mehrere Hülsen (5) so ansteuert, dass die Flügel (3) mit einer zweiten, gegenüber der ersten Tipp-Drehzahl höheren Tipp-Drehzahl rotieren. Erfindungsgemäß steuert die Auswerte- und Steuereinheit (7) selbsttätig oder auf Anforderung die Antriebseinheit (9), insbesondere zum Anfahren einer definierten Winkelstellung der Flügel (3) so an, dass die Flügel (3) mit einer dritten, gegenüber der ersten Tipp-Drehzahl niedrigeren Tipp-Kriechdrehzahl rotieren. <IMAGE>
