Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0851047A1] The electromagnetic selector controls mechanisms used in weaving, especially the hooked pivots known as rat-traps. The loom includes an electromagnet (6) for each lath, carried by a live oscillatory frame (1, 2). It also has an associated pivoting selector (7) pulled back against a spring (13), for selective actuation of one or the other of two control sections (9, 10). The electromagnet is energised in accordance with the armature required for the cloth in production. In the new unit a moving armature (12) is articulated on the selector at the end near the pivot axis (8).
