Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0852277A2] The clamp jaw (1) forms one end of a tensioning device for a floating floor covering and has a long arm and a short arm (3) which is bent through 90 degrees with a lipped edge (5) acting against the side edge of a tongue and groove floor covering panel (4). The long arm of the clamp jaw has at least 2 distance setting screws (7) fitting in respective threaded bores (6), acting against the floor covering panel for setting the distance between the latter and the clamp jaw, dependent on the thickness of the floor covering panel.
