Abstract (en)
The lid (3) has a roller rim (2) with lugs (7) which have transverse fold lines positioned at a level such that they fit into the corner of the joints when the lugs are tucked under the rolled rim to seal the container. The lid consists of a central section (4) and a crown which goes over the rim of the container and is extended downwards to form the lugs while the fold line in the lugs is made in the form of a transverse groove. The groove can be continuous or interrupted or made from a series of adjoining arcs.

Un couvercle métallique (3) à oreilles rabattables (7) pour fût doté d'un bord enroulé vers l'extérieur, ce couvercle comportant au moins une amorce de pliage (13) périphérique s'étendant sur la largeur de chaque oreille rabattable (7) . Lorsque le fût est fermé hermétiquement, les oreilles (7) sont rabattues sous le bord enroulé (2) du fût et la dite amorce forme la pointe d'un rabattement rentrant en forme de coin (14) remontant sous le bord enroulé (2). Ce fût qui présente une herméticité accrue, est destiné plus particulièrement au transport de produits réputés dangereux ou à valeur unitaire élevée. <IMAGE>
