Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0853050A1] The lid (3) has a roller rim (2) with lugs (7) which have transverse fold lines positioned at a level such that they fit into the corner of the joints when the lugs are tucked under the rolled rim to seal the container. The lid consists of a central section (4) and a crown which goes over the rim of the container and is extended downwards to form the lugs while the fold line in the lugs is made in the form of a transverse groove. The groove can be continuous or interrupted or made from a series of adjoining arcs.
