[origin: EP0853983A1] In the conservation method the vehicle body(4) is coated with a solid mass, which can be removed without damage or residue. The mass is e.g. a dispersion, and is applied directly to the vehicle by a gap- shaped nozzle(5) in the shape of a film(3). The dispersion is heated in front of and/or directly behind the nozzle. The nozzle has a gap length of min. 10mm, pref. min. 30mm, and esp. min. 100mm. The coating is applied to a vehicle, which has a paint finish and all windows and accessories already fitted to it.
