[origin: EP0854098A2] A weakened line, especially a perforation line (27), is made in the area of at least one wall of the outer casing (11). The perforation line located in the area of one longitudinally extended side wall is slightly shorter than the respective wall of the outer casing. With a packaging for cigarette packets (10) these are preferably located in two rows (12,13) and the perforation line extends in the area of a plane of separation (14) between the rows, especially in the longitudinal centre of the side wall of the outer casing.
