[origin: EP0854108A1] The travellator has a transition part (10) to transport people and objects from one section to the other (2-6), and has roller-type elements (20,36) on which the shoes (17) of any size person travel from one section to the next. At least one of the roller elements is driven. The transition part has a support (18) with a cavity (19) in which is at least one driven pinion (20). On the entry side is at least one cog (25,30) with rollers, and on the exit side is at least one cog (27,31) with rollers (37). A second (25) and third (27) cog engage the pinions.
