[origin: EP0854281A2] The method of controlling at least one electromagnetic load (100), especially a solenoid valve for fuel injection in an internal combustion engine, involves dividing the injection into at least a first and a second part-injection. The stored charge (145) at the beginning of the control is transferred into the load and in the store, a part-charge remains with the first part-injection. This part-charge is transferred into the load with a following part-injection. The remaining part-charge is dimensioned so that with the following part-injection it suffices for an accelerated switch-on process. The part-charge remaining in the store together with the charge being released with the end of the first part-injection suffices for an accelerated switch-on process for the following part-injection.
