[origin: EP0854408A2] The electromagnet Ä4Ü has a controller with a drive stage Ä2Ü that receives current feedback from a Hall effect sensor Ä10Ü connected between the electromagnet and the power supply Ä3Ü. The power supply has a rectifier Ä30Ü and output stage Ä31Ü. The current signal is rectified Ä61Ü and is used as an input to a Schmitt trigger Ä63Ü that protects against short circuit overload by switching at a critical value and turns off the output stage Ä31Ü.
