[origin: WO9714165A2] The aim is to design a simple and inexpensive magnet damping arrangement intended in particular for use with contactors with alternating current magnets. The non-switching magnet yoke (1) of an electromagnet system with magnet coil (3) is damped according to the invention by a single damping pressure spring (7) which is directly supported on the coil shell (2) of the magnet coil (3) and on the magnetic yoke (1).
