[origin: WO9714166A2] In order to reduce bouncing of the main armature and contact carrier when switching a contactor, the magnetic chamber bottom (9) of the contactor housing (1) is provided with two supporting areas for the magnet yoke which have different resiliencies. For that purpose, the vibrating magnet chamber bottom (9) has a supporting strip whose ends act as magnet supporting areas (11, 12).
