[origin: EP0855727A2] The contact bridge holder for electrical and especially electromagnetic switchgear, has a flat intermediate unit (28) of heat-resistant material between the laying zones (26) of the contact bridge carrier (4) and the contact bridge (8) when the contact system (8, 14, 26) is open. The intermediate unit (28), or intermediate cladding, is of glass fibre material or at least a hard layer applied by physical vapour deposition.
