Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9714857A1] A building panel (1) has a folded-plate structure (2) made of a perforated, trapezoidally corrugated metal sheet. Plastic foam (7) is foamed into the corrugations so as to fill them. The narrow sides (10) of the building panel (1), which run parallel to the corrugations, have diametrically opposed profiles and are formed by the end branches (8) of the folded-plate structure (2). The building panel (1) may be provided on one or both sides with planks (4), or the building panel (1) may be directly subjected to a surface treatment, for example plastering or covering with wall paper. The foam (7) foamed into the corrugations of the perforated folded-plate structure (2) gives a high solidity to the building panel (1) and any planks (4) are firmly held by the plastic foam. The foam (7) can cross the folded-plate structure (2) through the perforations of the metal sheet that forms the folded-plate structure (2), and so the solidity of the building panel (1) is further increased. The narrow sides (10) of the building panel (1) have diametrically opposed profiles, allowing the building panels to be arranged next to each other without joints.
