[origin: EP0856298A1] Hollow tip designed to hold a biological fluid consists of a plastic housing (1) with an inner conical portion (3), partially surrounding a capillary tube (2), which can be of stainless steel or plastic. The conical section of the housing can be male or female in shape, or a double cone, and the housing also has one or more air inlets (6). The cylindrical portion adjacent to the cone acts as a guide for the capillary tube.
