[origin: EP0857435A2] The sole for sports shoes has a gradual transit between the zones (20) of high material stiffness and the zones (18) with a lower material stiffness. The material is a thermoplastic polyurethane, in a hardness range of 60 Shore A to 50 Shore D, or polyamide elastomer in a hardness range of 90 Shore A to 70 Shore D. Thermoplastic polyurethane can be combined with polyamide elastomer, or polypropylene can be combined with thermoplastic elastomer based on styrene-butadiene-styrene, styrene-ethylene-butadiene, or polyolefin. The sole can be injection moulded, where the material types blend together at their transit zones.
