Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0857662A1] The small bottle (8) or can (1) is aseptically filled with cold drink by a filling machine. The machine-operated seal (6) for use during the filling operation and in addition to the one (5) hand-opened by the user, can have one or more non-return shutters. These are either elastic or separately spring-loaded, and which are thrust open in the inwards direction by a boss or filler pipe on the machine. Alternatively it can comprise an opening squeezed, welded or glued shut by the machine, and typically contained in a tube protruding outwards. A cover can be provided, protruding outwards from the opening edge and deflected against the edge for welding or gluing to it.
