Abstract (en)

The road sign consists of a panel (2) which is installed on a vertical post (1) positioned at the edge (3) of a road (4). The panel extends above the road and perpendicular to it so it can be viewed by oncoming traffic. The sign incorporates a motorised system which moves the panel up and down the post and also performs rotation. The sign can therefore be lowered and set parallel to the roadway for convenient maintenance. The panel is rotated only when it is at the top of the post and is lowered when it is parallel to the road.

Ensemble de signalisation pour voie de circulation comportant un panneau (2) et un mât (1) vertical, le mât (1) étant destiné à être installé en bordure (3) de la voie de circulation (4), le panneau (2) étant supporté par le mât (1) et s'étendant au-dessus de la voie de circulation, perpendiculairement à celle-ci. Il comporte des moyens de déplacement du panneau (6) qui permettent de déplacer ce dernier entre une position d'utilisation dans laquelle il s'étend perpendiculairement à la voie de circulation (4), au-dessus de celle-ci, et une position de maintenance dans laquelle il se trouve à une hauteur qui le rend accessible pour le personnel de maintenance et s'étend parallèlement à la voie de circulation, à côté de celle-ci. <IMAGE>
