The various glass panels are moved horizontally into an assembly and pressing device and arranged in pairs, two glass blanks (55) are positioned conforming with each other and sealed simultaneously. During sealing the glass blanks are held at constant spacing from each other with the spacing pref. less than the thickness of the panels. One or more pairs of nozzles are used for sealing. The nozzles (70,71) are mounted side by side and moved along the edges of the two blanks in synchronization. The nozzles can be mounted on a common support. They can be resiliently sprung to cling against the edges of the panes independently of each other.

Verfahren zum Zusammenbauen und Versiegeln von Isolierglasscheiben aus Glastafeln in einer wenige Grade gegen die Senkrechte geneigten Orientierung, durch waagerechtes Fördern einer ersten (10) und einer zweiten (10') Glastafel sowie einer dritten (11') und einer vierten (11) Glastafel in eine Zusammenbau- und Preßvorrichtung, paarweises Positionieren der deckungsgleichen Glastafeln (10,11,10',11') in der Zusammenbau- und Preßvorrichtung, Zusammenfügen der Glastafelpaare zu zwei Isolierglasscheibenrohlingen (55) durch Parallelverschieben einer der Glasplatten eines Paares von Glasplatten, Verpressen der so gebildeten Rohlinge (55), Überführen der Rohlinge in eine Versiegelungsstation, Versiegeln der Isolierglasrohlinge, wobei zwei deckungsgleiche Isolierglasscheibenrohlinge (55) deckungsgleich positioniert und gleichzeitig versiegelt werden. <IMAGE>
